Ways for creating on-pack label

The method and design for creating an on-pack label clearly cites the need for one to know what the product is for, the targeted audience and mainly the special instructions needed to be passed. This clearly creates the need for stipulated steps to be followed in the creation of on-pack label, multi-page label used in different products. How to on-pack label, Multi-page label is not an easy feature one needs to study the art and many methods involved in creating an on-pack label. The labels can be for as consumed, as sold or per portion as per consumption unit, multi-component packages and nutritional and health claims. We are to describe each one.

Multi-component packages are normally used for labeling products which contain a mixture of products some of the examples used in this case are snacks, biscuits, chocolates, etc care should be followed during this type of label care should be taken to avoid disastrous on-pack label, Multi-page label.

Per portion or per consumption unit  is the most important part of the packaging and should be clear on how to be consumed if it is medicinal. If one takes excess it becomes hazardous and thus proper information is vital for this part. Instructions should be clear and easy to read and interpret for good understanding.

Nutrition and health claims, Regulations require that if nutrition is made for a product it should be for a ready to eat food also it stipulates that allow fat and allow salts are to quantity in milliliters and not to consumption unit.

Multi-component packages are normally used for labeling products which contain a mixture of products some of the examples used in this case are snacks, biscuits, chocolates, etc care should be followed during this type of label care should be taken to avoid disastrous on-pack label, Multi-page label.

Step for ccreating label nutrition:
-          --Portion size should be explained in details. It should detailed describe the units in the language which the consumer will understand in the simplest manner.
-          --The proper designation for each nutrient is grams or milliliters. Calculation should be done accordingly to determine the required energy value for each unit.
-          --Kilojoules (kJ) and kilocalories (kcal) should be used to denote the energies used in packages.
-          --one must provide a space for indicating and informing about each nutrient and energy value present in a specific product
-          --one must determine different color coding used in labeling i.e. red, green, and amber
-          --cares should be taken in the design, positioning and presentation of different Multi-page label .

Different product needs different designs and all these depend on the target audience. if one is marketing a butter the colors should be bright to attract the required consumer if it’s going to be used for medicinal value there should be clear format on the available nutrients and listed clearly least they become allergic to a consumer.
