A
barcode label, is a label that contains data which is in the form of optical
bits. It is almost always located on the outside of a package as an intended
way of keeping precise track of inventory and cost. They are read by scanners
and machines to transmit it's information. They are located virtually
everywhere, on all the items in your local grocery store, on your mail, and
even the library. They are responsible for clocking in at work as well as even
keeping track of hospital patients. There are also different types of barcodes,
some of the most commonly known are the UPC, OR and EAN.
